  • Ellen's Coming Out
  • The Aftermath
  • Lets beat him up!
  • Ellen's first girlfriend was named Susan. She had long beautiful blonde hair and was about the same height as Ellen. The two would often get together and go on dates and it took some adjusting for Ellen's parents but they did support her
  • Bouncing Back
  • Thank you so much for my Grammy
  • Next, Ellen went through a really tough time in her life. Some people did not approve of her decision and would not allow her to show herself on television. She was allowed to show herself again in the 5th season. Ellen kissed a girl on set and so her show was labeled with "Parent supervision advised"
  • Getting Married
  • I do
  • The next event in Ellen's life was huge. She claimed that she did not want to be a role model until she heard a story about a boy named Shepard. He was a teen gay male who was taken out of a bar by two men who were 21. They shot and tore him to pieces just because he was gay. Ellen then chose to make a change and become a role model. That event was really life changing for her because she thought that people should not be judged like that
  • Ellen's success really started to incline in 2005. She was the first gay woman to host her very own academy awards. She also won an award for the best comedy album as well.
  • Ellen only grew in a positive way during her show. Ellen also met a new girl whose name was Portia de Rossi. On May 15th 2008 California ruled out that same sex marriage was legal so Ellen and Portia married on August 16th 2008.
