  • Parris catches the all of the young girls including  Abigail, Tituba, and Betty, dancing in the forest. Which starts the entire ordeal of witchcraft and the trials since Parris introduces the information to Danforth and the rest of the court.

  • When Hale arrives,  the girls all start to confess to being with the devil and wish to return to god with fear of being hanged, and by giving out false accusations on those they don't like. This throws all of the characters into disarray and  fully brings forth the accused and the  Witch Trials.

  • When Proctor arrives Abigail goes to him to see him, yet Proctor doesn't feel the same  way. This scene moves the story by showing the relationship between Abigail & Proctor, and shows why each character doesn't take action immediately to solve their issues and problems for each fear each other.

  • When  Hale arrives at the Proctors' home, They talk about the past transpired events and speak that it is all a fraud. Also, the  town's "police" like Cheever also came and arrested Elizabeth since they spotted that she had a doll  with a needle in it and in which Abigail had a needle in her. This shows that Abigail has started to take action against Elizabeth to get Proctor for herself.

  • This   court scene is a conflict between Abigail and Proctor who finally face off during the trials.  When Proctor tries to save everyone accused of witchcraft with Mary Warren,  Mary Warren accuses John Proctor of witchcraft and being with the devil when the other girls act like she's attacking them and since she doesn't want to hurt anyone.

  • After being arrested, accused by Abigail for witchcraft, and  about to hang the coming morning, Abigail  had fled Salem to safety along with the other girls without taking Proctor. This shows their relationship ending. With his wits , Proctor decides to die with pride in his name instead of being in misery, showing us his  pride in  life, and doing the right thing by ending the trials.
