Every year there is an argument over whether or not Andrew Jackson should be on the 20$ bill. Today I will show why he is on the 20$ in the first place and why he should be replaced with someone like Neil Armstrong or Rosa Parks.

One of the reasons why Andrew Jackson shouldn't be on our 20$ bill is because he represents an oppressive time in our history. Where Jackson ordered that all Native Americans be moved to Oklahoma and away from their home near the Mississippi River. (Indian Removal Policy)
A major part of why Andrew Jackson won the Presidential election was because he appealed to the average male (The only ones allowed to vote). He represents an insensitive time in our history towards women, people of color, and other minorities.
Jackson was also smart about how he got supporters. He would promise government jobs to allies, supporters, patrons, and loyalists. This was very profitable for him. And you have to give him some worth as he formed a good way of making charity for his party. But does this make him deserve a spot on the 20$ bill?
One of Andrew Jackson's most ambitious projects was to tear down the National Bank system. To do this he severely cut the bank's federal support and money. This crippled the system but, by the time his presidency was over, the bank was starting to recover. He had litterally tried to destroy the dollar, and he gets put on the 20$ bill.
Jackson stopped the Doctrine of Nullification from passing. Which allowed states to just not follow laws if they felt that they didn't like it. If there is one reason why he sould be on the 20$ bil it would be beacause of this. He stopped possible anarchy with states just not following anythig that the national gov. said.
But we already passed that one!
Just don't follow it.
Oh, yeah. Im just gonna not follow that NATIONAL LAW because my state doesnt like it
