Storyboard Text

  • Paleolithic Times
  • All the men and I hunting for food and all the women watching the kids is preposterous! We need a new way to save time and our energy!
  • My family and I have had barely any food in days and I am injured!
  • We need food and water and we don't have any resources! We need help!
  • Agricultural Revolution
  • I have come up with the idea to plant crops
  • My family and I have discovered a new strategy to collect food!
  • It is great how the other men and I don't have to hunt for food anymore! It takes so much pressure of us  and the women!
  • Agricultural Revolution
  • Food and Crops
  •     In the paleolithic times the men in the family had to hunt for the whole families food while the women stayed and watched the children. It was hard for both the women and the men because the women had to watch all the kids and the men didn't have all the animals to hunt all at once. The family also had no permanent home which meant that they were NOMADS. Nomads were people who had no permanent homes.
  • permanent shelters and Laws
  • It is my honor to enforce our laws!
  • Later, after the paleolithic times a new way for the people to provide food emerged. The families found growing their own food and domesticating the animals their new strategy to provide food and take better care of themselves. The men no longer had to hunt for food and supplies which meant the women didn't have to wait to feed their hungry children.
  • Surplus of Food
  • It is so amazing how a lot don't even have to worry about the crops for I while  because of the surplus of supplies! We can now focus on other jobs!
  • Planting their own  crops, growing their own food, and domesticating the animals changed the lives of all the former nomads. The families no longer had to make nonstop moves to different homes so they could collect food. The didn't have to move because all needed was right where they were! The change in strategy was so severe the population increased from 2 million to 90 million!
  • Trading
  • Same here.
  • Nice doing business with you.
  •  Life was rapidly improving due to the change in strategy and as the groups no longer needed to move from place to place smaller groups joined other groups and created bigger groups and as food sources increased, homes started to become more permanent and many families began to build homes out of logs or stone near rivers or good places to plant crops.
  •  With requirements for food, water, and shelter met, most people didn't have to farm anymore. instead, they focused on more important jobs. Division of labor made it possible for some people to create better farming tools.
  • It's also great that we can interact and trade with other groups!
  • As the populations increased so did the need of order. Leaders enforced their own groups laws and laws for barter and interaction with other groups. Many specialized workers traded their inventions for food and other supplies. The wheel aided humans a lot when it came to transporting goods from one location to the next.
