The physical therapy process required 3 sessions a week for about 6 months.
I'm going to do whatever I have to do.
You're going to have to rebuild all of the muscles around your knee before you can play again.
This is going to be a very long process.
Unfortunately, I wasn't back to 100% for my junior year so I tried to push myself physically. This led to small, nagging injuries throughout the season.
Something doesn't feel right coach..
You're just not quite back to normal. Next year is your year.
Fast forwarding to today, I feel even stronger and faster than before my injury. While I know this injury is extremely common, it was still a big deal at the time, especially as a 15 year old. I am grateful that my recovery process went smoothly and I appreciate having the ability to play sports and be active much more than I used to.
