Nitrogen Fixation is first step in the nitrogen cycle.
It is when nitrogen in the atmosphere is converted into ammonia.
Next up is nitrification that is when the ammonia is turned into nitrite and nitrate.
Root uptake is when plants take nutrients like nitrate and nitrites from the soil. Next is when protein synthesis takes place. It is when the plant produce protein.
The plants made in the nitrogen cycle are producers. The protein from the plants are put into the food chain when consumers eat the plants.
The nitrogen in plants goes through the food web and is decomposed back into the soil once plants and animals die.
Denitrification is when bacteria in the soil converts nitrates into nitrogen gas., which goes back into the air and atmosphere.
Now the cycle repeats with Nitrogen fixation, Nitrification, Root Uptake, Protein Synthesis, Food Chain, Decomposition, Denitrification
