  • AAAAAAND The Pitch.....
  • Bob, according to Newton's First law, the object will stay at rest until acted upon by a force
  • So, the ball will not move until the pitcher throws the ball.
  • Huhh?
  • And the pitch with the bases loaded...
  • Bob, that homerun occurred because of Newton's second law. Acceleration is directly proportional to the net force.
  • So, the batter swung the bat with enough force to hit the ball over the fence!
  • Hit deep to center field. GOING, GOING, GONE!
  • OHH a wild pitch!
  • The third law is that every action has a reaction. The ball hit the fence, and the fence reacted by pushing back on the ball and not letting it through.
  • Bob, that ball stayed in play because of Newton's third law.
