  • February 10, 1763: Signing of the Treaty of Paris
  • March 22, 1765: Stamp Act
  •    March 5, 1770: Boston Massacre
  • The signing of the Treaty of Paris ended the seven years war. The treaty recognized American independence.
  • April 19, 1775: Battles of Lexington and Concord
  • The Stamp Act required all legal documents, newspapers, and pamphlets required to use watermark, or stamped paper on which a fee was placed.
  • October 13, 1775: British Troops Surrender of 5,700 troops at Saratoga
  •  a crowd began harassing a group of soldiers guarding the customs house. Then a soldier was knocked down by a snowball and accidentally shot off  his musket, sparking a volley into the crowd which kills five civilians.
  • September 3, 1783: Treaty of Paris
  • The Battles of Lexington and Concord was the first battle of the Revolutionary War between British troops and the Minutemen.
  •  The Brtish were lacking supplies.German and loyalist forces under Major General John Burgoyne surrender to Major General Horatio Gates in a turning point in the Revolutionary War.
