  • Do you bite your thumb at us, sir?
  • No, sir, I do not bite my thumb at you, sir; but I bite my thumb, sir.
  • Is the law of our side, if I say ay?
  • No.
  • By Love, that first did prompt me to inquire; He lent me counsel and i lent him eyes. As glorious to this night, being o'er my head, as a winged messenger of heaven.
  • If thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, and i'll no longer be a Capulet.
  • What if this mixture do not work at all? Shall I be married then to-morrow morning? No, no; this shall forbid it
  • The Capulet servants Sampson and Gregory are walking by Abraham who is a Montague. Sampson bites his thumb causing a mini Feud to break out between the Capulet's and Montague's. Because of this feud Romeo and Juliet's relationship is doomed.
  • Quarrel, sir? No, sir.
  • Do you quarrel, sir?
  • In this balcony scene shows Romeo and Juliet's decide to marry each other and confess their love for each other. This scene also shows Juliet's and Romeo's struggles since Juliet is a Capulet and Romeo is a Montague.
  • Shall I hear more, or shall I speak at this?
  • Juliet is having an internal conflict with herself because she doesnt know what will happen if she drinks the potion. She thinks it will work but at the same time she thinks it might kill her.
  • What if it be a poison, which the friar subtly hath minist'red to have me dead, lest in this marriage he should be dishonour'd because he married me before to Romeo?
  • The Capulet's and Montague's fight which seperates Juliet who is a Capulet and Romeo who is a Montague. Since these families are in a feud they aren't allowed together by their parents or guardians. This feud causes them to be star-crossed lovers.
  • Even though they are from opposite sides of feuding families they decide to marry each other for love and in the hopes of stopping the family feud. These two families do not like each other, this is shown in the first scene in the play where they have a feud, but their marriage didn't fix this as planned. Romeo and Juliet are star-crossed lovers.
  • Juliet is debating either to drink the potion or not, she thinks if she drinks it then she will be with Romeo but she also thinks if she does she might die because of the danger of the potion. Juliet knows if she doesn't drink the potion she probably will not see Romeo ever again.
