  • The meeting of the estate general
  • do to our financial crisis we need a new taxation plan. what do you propose.
  • That the Third Estate and the Second Estate be taxed. We choose to vote by order.

  • we need equality, we need a voice, we need a new nation and they pledge to show loyalty.

  • What do you want?
  • The meeting of the estates general is when the king wants to propose a new taxation plan but the estates demand their law of estates general. The 3rd estate was not even allowed in the courtroom during this time and was outraged. This brought on the idea of voting in a democracy and was challenging tradition.
  • The National assembly was formed during this time. While the King decided to keep things the same the national assembly planned on writing a constitution. That constitution is know as the Constitution of of 1791. It lead to democracy by them wanting equality and a voice.
  • On July 14, 1789 a mob attacks the Bastille to steal gunpowder and free the people from the prison. This part of teh revolution lead to democracy by ending the monarcy.
