Man, I was a legend. I was one of the greatest players of all time. I had a career 340. average, And hit 500 foot bombs. One of my best friends was the Great Bambino, Babe Ruth.
In 1939, I pulled myself from the game I know and love, and gave a heartwarming speech at the great Yankee stadium.My muscles had gotten weak and I did not want to see a doctor. After my peers convinced me to get checked out, they diagnosed me with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, known today as Lou Gehrig's Disease. 2 years later, It got the best of me and I passed away on June 2, 1941.
