  • Gatsby's house symbolizes the emptiness of his house because he later on wants Daisy with him. Gatsby says he wants Daisy to move in with him so that's why his house is empty.
  • The Great Eyes Ch 2
  • The symbol at the house party is Gatsby will meet a person because he threw these parties for Daisy can come but she never did so Tom went and that played a big role. Instead of Daisy Tom came and that's how Gatsby will meet Daisy because of Tom.
  • The Green Light Ch 5
  • The yellow car symbolizes a big part in the story because later on in the story the yellow car kills Mrs. Wilson by "Gatsby" but it was Daisy who was driving so it could symbol death.
  • East and West Ch 4,7,9
  • The Great Eyes symbolized like God is staring down or someone is always looking at you or someone is judging you. The Eyes of Dr TJ. Eckleberg also stares down at The Valley of Ashes which is like a bad place.
  • This symbolizes Gatsby's hopes and dreams the green light was towards Daisy's house so that's his dream the green light. Gatsby had his hand out towards the green light which was his dream so he wants it.
  • The east and west symbolizes that they are all westerners which they all live in the West but want to move to the East to get a better future/life. Gatsby, Nick, Tom, Daisy and more of the characters  all want to live in the east
