These two polar opposite sides came to solve this by the writing a Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights guaranteed basic rights such as freedom of speech, worship, assembly and many more.
Now we are in the present day world and the Constitution is still impacting our lives! The Constitution assembled a legislative (makes laws), executive (enforces laws) and judicial branch (interprets laws). The three branches protect the freedoms and rights of the people living in this great country!
I love this country!
Lastly, it established a system of checks and balances and places the power of the government in the citizens' hands. It is important for young historians to know how the Constitution was made and all the hard work some people way back in the 18th century did to make our lives much better.
