  • Washington and his troops start firing.
  • Patriot Victory
  • George Washington crossed the Delaware river to attack the Hessian while they were taking advantage of having a holiday. While they were all drinking and having fun, America would strike.
  • The Germans were all hungover and not feeling well from the alcohol they had the night before. They did not put up a good fight and now the patriots had control over that piece of land.
  • The Americans won the battle of Trenton. It was a huge victory because they gained confidence and it made other people want to join the army. The hessians had 22 people killed, 92 wounded, and 918 captured. The Americans only had 2 that lost their lives and it was because they froze to death.
