  • Plymouth Reason for Settlement
  • I don't want to practice this religion.
  • Then come aboard my ship and we shall have new religion in the new world.
  • The Main Problems in Plymouth
  • The Mayflower conditions were terrible and this is a harsh winter. Will we survive?
  • Only half of us will survive.
  • The supplies for the Winter are in sir.
  • How I Would Solve the Problems
  • Great news, we shall set sail tomorrow in order to get there in mid spring.
  • The Plymouth colony's people decided to settle in North America because they wanted religious freedom. They were called pilgrims.
  • One of the main problems was that the Mayflower voyage across the sea was hard for many people, there were rough seas, low food, and many died. Another problem was that they got there in the Winter, and half the population died because of the cold harsh environment.
  • For the first problem, the way I would solve them, is make the ship better prepared. I would do this by putting more supplies, and have better navigation. I also might prepare the passengers better. For the second problem, I would have the ship sail a different time of year so that they didn't get there in the winter, and had time to prepare.
