A determined Hamlet rushes into his Mother's sewing room to explain to her the truth about his Father's death. He hears a noise from behind the curtain and lunges a sword at it because he was lead to believe that it was his Uncle, turns out it was Polonius.
Laertes returns to avenge his Father's death by trying to kill Hamlet, who was the one who killed his Father, with a poisoned sword and some poisoned wine. First, Hamlet's Mother drinks some of the wine unknowing of it being poison. Next, Laertes ends up being wounded by the sword and outing Hamlet's Uncle, which leads to Hamlet killing his Uncle minutes before his death.
