Who: Members of the Black Hand Gang, they are 5 and they are Serbian. Mission: assassinate Archduke Franz Ferninad Why: Austria-Hungary had annexed the Balkans in 1908 and it infuriated the Serbian nationals there. it caused the creation of many nationalist groups.

Nikola Pašić was prime minister of Serbia at that time and he ordered the Black Hand Gang to assassinate the Archduke Franz Ferdinand. Archduke Franz Ferdinand was the heir to the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
The gang planned the date of assassination, timing, location and method. They are aware that If their plan fails, they will go to prison.
Nedjelko Cabrinovic, the Serbian nationalist from the Black Hand Gang, was chosen to assassinate the Archduke. If he fails, Gavrilo Princip will need to execute the assassination.
The archduke and his wife, travelled in an open top car through the streets of Sarajevo. It was at this point Nedjelko Cabrinovic, threw a bomb into the car. The bomb hit the back of the vehicle and missed the couple, but the bystanders were hit and wounded.
