First Nations saw that British were more powerful and traded with them, so French had less of a say. The French agreed to give the British large amounts of land, meaning that they had less land, therefore fewer resources to trade and the First Nations didn’t want to trade with them.
I am part of the First nations. We want to trade with the British because they are more powerful than the French.
I just agreed to give the British large amounts of land. Now, they have more resources and the First Nations don't want to trade with us.
Since I traded with the British I now have fewer resources to trade, less wealth and less land.
An Acadian family household
The French gave Acadia to the British!
I wonder what's going to change now.
Why don't we ask Father?
Do you know if the British are going to change anything?
All I know is because the French gave Acadia to the British, the British will help us by giving us resources.
The British put citizens into slavery for “supporting the enemy”. They then continued to argue over land ownership because they didn’t exactly know which land was theirs.
