Storyboard Text

  • The Lesson For Today!
  • Good morning class! Today we are going to be talking about 'Changing States Of Matter' and 'The Particle Theory'.
  • Solids   Liquids Gas       Particle Theory
  • I know, it has something to do with solids, liquids, and gases right?
  • What is Ms.Brovetto talking about?
  • The Lesson For Today!
  • Dwayne you're correct. So, who can tell me about liquids?
  • Me, I know. Well, all state of matter are made up of particles. Liquid particles  have little free space between each other, they vibrate and move freely past one another. Liquids also shift to fit the container it occupies.

  • The Lesson For Today!
  • Lara, that's not exactly the right answer. Someone else?
  • Good job Maya. What about solids?
  • Solids   Liquids Gas       Particle Theory
  • Umm, solids are hard, strong, and I think the particles don't move.
  • The Lesson For Today!
  • Solid particles vibrate in a pattern and don't move passed each other. The particles have very tiny space between one another. Solids have fixed shapes and volume. Everyone understand?
  • Solids   Liquids Gas       Particle Theory
  • YES.
  • Great job. I need a volunteer to come up and teach the class about melting. Don't forget to tell us what is melting and who it melts.
  • Ok, who can tell me what it is called when you change a solid to a liquid?
  • The Lesson For Today!
  • Solids   Liquids Gas       Particle Theory
  • Melting.
  • The Lesson For Today!
  • Come on up Lara. When your explaining, use Chocolate as your example. You may start when you are ready.
  • Solids   Liquids Gas       Particle Theory
  • Ms.Brovetto, I would like to give it a try.
