Hello! I am Hemali. I am a hindu. In our Indian religion or dharma, which means way of life, we are polytheists. We believe in Karma, the Brahman-Universal soul, achieving Moksha, and reincarnation after death.
I’m Bankei. I’m Buddhist. In my religion, which is also a way of life, we are polytheists as well. We do also believe in Karma and achieving Nirvana. There are four noble truths we follow, and we also follow the eightfold path.
We seem to have some similarities! We both believe in Karma and Dharma.
No priests, no formal rituals, banned caste systems!
We do meditation! We used to use the caste system in the start of our religion…
Us, too. I believe there are differences too.
We have no single founder, but three main gods. The creator Brahma, the preserver Vishnu, and the destroyer Shiva. Ahishma is a very moral principle, nonviolence is key.
Our founder is Buddha, we have thousands of gods. You guys achieve Moksha, which reincarnation. We achieve Nirvana, which is union with the universe. We have pretty cool religions.
