Storyboard Text

  • Help! "Choke"! Need to get out!
  • There are many causes for acid rain but this is the main one. The pollutants from coal-burning factories go into the air and the poisonous emissions mix with the water which makes the water acidic. Then winds tend to blow the emissions from the US to Canada. After that, the water cycle goes which takes up the acid water and turn it into to acid rain.
  • There are many effects of acid rain but poisoning of lakes and rivers is the greatest problem. In these huge habitats, thousands of organisms live in them which when the water gets poisoned, they get poisoned and other animals that drink the water get poisoned, too.
  • Scientists searched hard for a solution and finally found one. If they could use green energy, which is energy from nature, they would not get any more smoke or poisonous emissions. They could use solar or wind energy, or in Canada, hydroelectricity and these areas would be pollution-free.
