We want the land.....~The Colonists
I am making a proclamation.
Get off of our land.
The Stamp Act and Its Repeal
The Stamp Act was the first internal tax made on American colonists, the British Government realized they can get money by taxing the colonists
I have an idea.
The Intolerable Acts
In 1763, King George III of Great Britain prohibited colonial settlement west and reserved the lands for Native Americans. But the proclamation was never seriously enforced or obeyedso, settlers contibued to use the land. After, the British made new taxes to pay for the French and Indian War
The Townshend Acts
The Stamp Actwas on March 22, 1765. The Stamp Act was repealed on March 18, 1966. It was taxation on the Colonies. Where merchants and lawyers had to buy stamps for ships' papers and legal documents. The repeal of the tax was called by Patrick Henry.
The Boston Massacre
In 1773,the intolerable acts caused the revolutionary war because the Americans didnt want to pay taxes on tea. British were meant to punish the Massachusetts colonists for throwing a large tea shipment into Boston harbor. The Americans resisted the taxes causeing them to harras the british soldiers. The british fought for defense causing the revolutionary war.
The Tea Act and Boston Tea Party
We shall call this the Boston Tea Party
In 1767, the Townshed Acts were a series of acts passed. The Townshend acts were a string of laws that were established by Charles Townshend. The Townshend Acts caused friction between the colonists and Britain. The Townshend Acts taxed the colonists on glass, lead, paints, paper, and tea.
As King George II, I signed the paper that says all colonists are taxed on lead, paper, and other goods.
In 1770, happened because the colonists got into a fight with the British. Then the British fired the first shot soon that lead to the British shooting at the colonists killing and injuring many. The Boston massacre was caused by the Intolerable Acts that were passed by the British parliament.
Boston Tea Party was a protest by colonists against the British Government. Protestersboarded 3 ships and began to threw teaoverboard. They Threwa total of 342 chests of tea into the water. The Tea Act meant that they had to pay high taxes on tea when the Britain didnt return their tea the colonists began to protest.
