  • "How could I live alone, without her here?" (648)
  • "Don't speak of her being here. Her life is over." (649)
  • "You're going to kill your own son's bride?" (650)
  • "Why not? There are other fields for him to plough." (651)
  • "No one will make him a more loving wife than she will." (652)
  • "I have no desire my son should have an evil wife." (653-654)
  • Ismene is trying to tell Creon that she doesn't know what to do without Antigone because that's her sister. 
  • Creon is telling Ismene that his son, Haemon, has so many other chances with other girls besides Antigone. He has tons of other opportunities.
  • Creon thinks that Antigone wouldn't make a good wife to Haemon, while Ismene is trying to argue the fact that she would make a good wife despite what Creon thinks.
