Stress is a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances.
Stress Impacts on the Body - musculoskeletal - nervous system - respiratory - gastrointestinal - cardiovascular - male & female reproductive systems
Musculoskeletal: sudden onset stress can cause muscles to suddenly tense up all at once, but when the stress passes the tension gets released chronic stress can cause frequent muscle tension, which can lead to severe migraines or headaches
Nervous System: this is the body's "Fight or Flight" response during a stressful situation, the body can decide to fight back and get through it, or leave the nervous system signals the release of Adrenaline and Cortisol, and if too much is released too often, it can cause drain on the body
Respiratory: stress can cause heavy breathing which can be dangerous for people with asthma or lung issues stress can cause the airway between the nose and lung to constrict, resulting in an asthma attack this can lead to hyperventilation and panic attacks this can be helped with relaxation and breathing techniques
