The United States was a country that held a lot of power during the time and might have been able to take care of a lot of conflict that occured during the time.

Appeasement: foreign policy of pacifying an aggrieved nation through negotiation in order to prevent war. The British appeased Hitler at the Munich. Appeasement during WW2- doing what Hitler wanted to avoid war or any problems.
League of Nations: an organization for international cooperation established at the initiative of the victorious Allied Powers at the end of World War One. League of nations is a group that tried to form the peace but failed from the lack of power due to the United States not joining.
Treaty of Versailles: Was the most important of the peace treaties that brought World War 1 to an end. The treaty ended the state of war between Germany and the Allied Powers. Great Britain, Italy, France, Japan, Germany, and the United States.
Hitler's Actions: Hitler forced Austrian leaders into accepting Nazi rule. Hitler also demanded the Sudetenland - the part of Czechoslovakia where lots of Germans lived. WW2 began with the invasion of Poland. In less than one moth Poland loses the fight against Germany. After the war began, he invaded small nations of Europe.
Pearl Harbor: was a surprise military strike by the imperial Japanese Navy Air Service against the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii Territory, on December 7, 1941. Also led to the United states entering the war.
The Holocaust: the Holocaust was a genocide during World War 2 in which Nazi Germany; systematically murdered six million European Jews because they were "different." Ended May 8, 1945. German's blamed Jews for their country's defeat in World War One and for it's economic problems that followed.
