  • Caesar Refuses the Crown
  • Was the crown offered him thrice?
  • Why there was a crown offered him; and being offered him, he put it by with the back of his hand, thus.
  • Since Cassius first did whet me against Caesar, I have not slept.
  • Brutus is Manipulated
  • Three parts of him is ours already, and the man entire upon the next encounter yields him ours.
  • Caesar is killed
  • But I am constant as the Northern Star.
  • Liberty! Freedom! Tyranny is dead!
  • As Caesar loved me, I weep for him; as he was fortunate, I rejoice at it; as he was valiant, I honor him; but-- as he was ambitious, I slew him.
  • Caesar was offered a crown to become the leader of Rome, but he refuses it three times.
  • Brutus' and Antony's Speeches
  • I speak not to disprove what Brutus spoke, but here I am to speak what I do know.
  • Lucilius and Titinius, bid the commanders prepare to lodge their companies tonight.
  • Brutus is a selfless person and would never hurt anyone. However, Cassius plotted to manipulate Brutus by sending him fake letters from "the people of Rome."
  • War begins
  • Villains! you did not so when your vile daggers hacked one another in the sides of Caesar.
  • The fear of a group of conspirators grows as they fear Caesar will become a tyrant sooner than expected. They quickly jump a the chance to kill Caesar while they still can.
  • Brutus and Cassius die
  • Farewell, good Strato. Caesar now be still. I killed not thee with half so good a will.
  • And when my face is covered, as 'tis now, guide thou the sword.
  • Both Brutus and Antony deliver speeches to the people of Rome in regards to Caesar's death. Their speeches are the opposite of each other.
  • Brutus and Cassius begin their fight against the triumverate: Antony, Lepidus, and Octavius.
  • Both Brutus and Cassius cannot take the stress of this war anymore. They both ask people to kill them, but they ended up killing themselves.
