When I was little I was half deaf. I always found it very frustrating when people were talking to me because I couldn't understand them.
When I went to the procedure I got anesthetic to help me sleep through the operation. I don't remember much from the procedure because I was asleep but, it went for one hour.
The only way to help me hear better was to get grommets. I had to get up at 2:00 in the morning to go to the hospital.
When I got to the Hospital I was very tired but very nervous. I was in the waiting room about to get my grommets put in!
When I got out of the operation I could instantly hear better. It was such a relief for me and my family that I was ok and could hear 100%. I was in recovery for a short time of 30mins and then we went home.
When we got home I was tired and happy that I was going to be able to hear properly. When we got inside the house I went straight to bed.
