Storyboard Description

Two students are from rivaling schools. They both enter the play Romeo and Juliet at their separate schools, one playing Romeo and the other Juliet. They soon fall deeply in love however theri rivaling performances in theri seperate romantic plays make it hard for hem to be together.

  • Introducing Jessica
  • Jessica is doing the play Romeo and Juliet at her school...
  • Introducing Ryan
  • while her boyfriend, Ryan is doing the same play at his school.
  • You know I would do the same for you Jessica. We should stand up for ourselves, we are allowed to be together!
  • Jessica and Ryan discuss their feelings about their relationship
  • A similar situation is going on in each of their plays, maybe it is influencing their thoughts as they handle this situation.
  • Ryan, I will refuse to not see you just because our schools are doing the same play. If you don't deny it, then because of our love, I will drop out of this play.
  • Jessica is playing the role of Juliet at her school in this play, she loves doing these plays and plans to go into an acting career after high school
  • Their cast-mates don't trust their relationship
  • Ryan goes to Jessica's rivaling school, where they are doing the same play, he is playing Romeo. The schools have been rivals for a long time, it is actually very weird that Jessica and Ryan are dating.
  • They plan to meet up with their cast-mates and discuss their relationship
  • They decide to gather a meeting with the people in each of their plays, and convince them that they're trustworthy in their relationship during the plays.
  • Since their schools both want them to break up, they don't want to however, and they know that they love each other. Juliet said a similar line on pg. 69.
  • Their meeting with their cast-mates does not go as they had planned
  • There is no need for us to seprate during this play, you should be able to trust both of us to not share anything about the play. Our relationship isn't a competition!
  • Everyone wants them to break up and they don't care how they feel. This is like discrimination towards each of them just because of the school they go to.
  • Ryan and Jessica know that they are destined to be together, and that they have to try everything they can to maintain their relationship and their friendships.
  • We shouldn't have to be apart just because my school doesn't trust you, and yours doesn't trust mine!
  • But I don't know how to fix this situation Ryan. How do we continue to date and also gain such a great trust from our fellow actors and actresses
  • The schools have been rivaling for too long for them to change their minds, even if it involves their friend.
  • Even though they love their friends, they don't love their relationship and they are choosing to hurt their friends' feelings so that they break up.
  • "I'm sorry but we just can't trust you two together, you shouldn't even be together after the play."
