  • Religions in South Asia By: Megan McKee
  • They believe that you are capable of being reincarnated, depending on your karma/actions. In other words, your soul could be reborn.
  • Hinduism
  • The Four Noble Truths are about how life will be hard, and suffering will be a part of your life, and how people suffer more if they are selfish.
  • Buddhism
  • They believed in peace, and to prevent violence. They wanted a very peaceful environment.
  • Jainism
  • They believed in one god, and this religion is a mix between Hinduism and Islam. Some of the aspects from each of those were combined to create this religion
  • Sikhism
  • This religion arrived in South Asia in the early AD 700's, when the Muslim traders came. This religion is a minority religion, and the largest of the minority religions in India.
  • Islam
