  • This tree is undergoing photosynthesis which happens in the chloroplasts of plants.
  • Sunlight, water, and Co2 go into the process. 
  • Glucose is made in photosynthesis.
  • Stomata is a pore on leaves that allow gas exchanges to happen. A guard cell contributes to the opening and closing of the stomatal pore. 
  • Xylem is a transport tissue that mainly transports water from the roots to elsewhere in the plant (like the leaves). 
  • Phloem is a living tissue that transports the soluble organic compounds made during photosynthesis.
