Should I wear a jacket today?
Kenzie feels the stimulus of the cold air and her body temperature drops.
The receptors on her skin, through the afferent pathway, alert the part of the brain that regulates temperature, or the "control center".
The control center processes the information and alerts the effectors through the efferent pathway.
She begins to get chills and starts shivering. The effectors (the muscles in her body),after receiving the information from the brain, move to go back inside the house.
Her muscular system responded and put on a jacket and her body temperature returned to normal.
