- the company told eckels that travel is dangerous and safety is not guaranteed

- eckels is going to travel through times to go on a safari to shoot dinosaurs
- falling action
- eckels and the rest of the crew get into the time machine and travel back 60 million 2055 years ago. travis reminds the hunters to stay on the path dont go off it for any reason
- resolution
- eckels was so amazed and frightened by the t-rex that he was unable to shoot it. Lesperance tells eckels to hide in the time machine but eckels goes in the wrong way and steps off the path
- when the hunters return to the present everything has change. the president the sign everything
- elckel looks down at his hoot and sees a dead butterfly stuck at the bottom and they realize he has changed the future. travis furious aims his weapon at eckels and is a sound of thunder
