Now your dad and I are going to make you go out and get a job!
I really don't want to, but how am I supposed to say no?
When I came home from school on my 16th birthday, there was a shiny, new, red car in my driveway. I was so ecstatic!
Congratulations! You got the job!
Thank you so much!
Then I found out that I would have to get a job to help pay every month for the car and to pay for my own gas. I was not happy.
Wow! I actually like it here!
I don't want to get a job, but I know It is the right thing to do. It will definitely benefit me in the long run. I will start an application, and hopefully I will get an interview.
I hate to say this, but you guys were right.
See I knew you would like it. It was the right decision for you!
I went to my first-ever interview with the owner of a small business. I was so nervous. I had done some mock interviews in the past at school but never the real thing. Even though I was so nervous, it still ended up going very well and I got the job!
My first day on the job was a lot of fun. I enjoyed it more than I expected I would. Everyone that I work with is super nice and really willing to help me learn new things on the job.
My parents were right. I really liked my new job, and it will really be nice to have some extra cash. I am glad I did what my parents said even though I really did not want to. I think this will really benefit me in the end.
