We were headed from Charleston, SC to Sewanee,TN to go and see were my father grew up as a child. He moved 6 times in his childhood due to his father becoming a priest. We arrived at the Sewanee Inn and went on many adventures the falling days ahead.
It was our final day in Sewanee, TN and my dad, brother, and I wanted to go golfing on the driving range, while my mom packed up the hotel room. We went into the pro-shop and got clubs and a basket of golf balls.
We began to practice our drives at the driving range. we eventually ran out of golf balls. My Dad went to go return the basket. During that time my brother decided to run on the driving range (which you are not supposed to do) and got one more ball to swing at. He was about to swing. I was unaware of him since I thought we were finished.
PING! The driver hit me square in my forehead. For a minute I was in shock. I walked over to a tree and thought it might just be a bruise. Seconds later the most amount of blood I have ever seen at one time comes pouring out my head. My brother is speechless.
Minutes later my dad comes rushing over along with workers at the pro-shop. I was directed to lay on the ground, as towels were draped around my head. The EMS and my mom were called immediately.
I was then rushed to the hospital where I was examined and got 12 stitches in my forehead. I was treated with candy and balloons by the staff at the hotel when we arrived back at the hotel.
