  • Autocracy
  • Woohooo!
  •  His father is way better
  • I hate him....
  • Yayyyy!
  • Absolute Monarchy
  • Mmmmm....since I have all the power over the citizens...what can I make them do?
  • Dictatorship
  • Everyone must obey me or they will be persecuted!
  • Okay.....
  • The different types of Autocracies are Absolute Monarchy (left) and Dictatorship (right). In an Autocracy there is one ruler with unlimited power, citizens can't vote on a ruler or laws, citizens may have little to know power, and power to rule is inherited or taken by force.
  • Democracy
  • Well.....should we go vote now?
  • In an Absolute Monarchy, the monarch has absolute power (no constitution) over the citizens.
  • Presidential Democracy
  • Donald Trump is the new president of the United States of America.
  • In a dictatorship, the leader uses force to control the citizens
  • Parliamentary Democracy
  • Do you think the legislature made the right decision for the leader?
  • In a democracy, citizens hold the power of the government, can participate in it, can become leaders, and citizens can vote for leaders and laws.
  • In an Presidential Democracy, citizens vote directly for the leader of a country, they also vote for the members of the legislature but separately from the leader of the country, and the leader of the country does not make the laws it is the legislature that makes the laws.
  • Hmmm...I didn't vote for him.
  • In a parliamentary democracy, citizens vote for the legislature, and the legislature choose the leader, among the members in the legislature. The leader is part of the legislature so he/she can help make laws.
