But when the Homestead Act was created, Victor hopped on the Transcontinental Railroad right away.

When he got there, he found himself in the middle of the Indian Wars.
He found his way to the open range, an area no one lived. But as he got closer, he started to see some of the effects of settlement, like clashing with the natives and lack of rain
Victor made himself a sod house and started to use barbed wire to protect his property. He also tapped into the water using a groundwater well.
