Atticus tells Scout that she better stop bothering the Radley's and fantasizing about it. This is after Scout thinks about the tree, and seeing Boo one more time.
Cecil Jacob deliver his news presentation on Hitler. Ms. Gates explains that he is an awful person for trying to persecute the Jews. She explains the difference between America and Germany, as well. She says "' Over here we don't believe in persecuting anybody.'" (281)
Scout talks to both Jem and Atticus about Hitler. Both Jem and Atticus say that while Atticus is doing crazy things it is never right to hate anyone. She then talks to Jem separately about how Ms. Gates was being racist after the court case. Jem gets frustrated that Scout would bring up that night.
