  • The monarchs Marie Antoinette and King Louis XVI were enjoying themselves amongst their riches while the French people outside starved and suffered. This is injustice.

  • The incompetence of the King the peasants(Third Estate) rioted. They stormed the Bastille and showed their might. Eventually the King and Queen will be executed by guillotiine.
  • The revolution lasted through ups and downs until a sole military leader by the name of Napoleon Bonaparte took control and established his dictatorship.
  • French Change
  • The French colony of Haiti was built off of human capital and sugar cane. After news of the French revolution reached Haiti the slaves had idealistic thinking on revolution as the slaves wanted out. There was bad working condition in the sugar can fields and life was brutal.
  • Haiti Motive
  • I Hate This!
  • The slaves used violence and fought off the French,British, and Spanish. Under the leadership and guidance of Toussaint L'Ouverture the slaves were able to use military tactics to take their nation back.

  • After the Europeans were thrown out the people of San Domingue renamed their new nation Haiti,the world's first black republic.
