  • A scientific model is are representations of objects, systems or events and are used as  tools for understanding the natural world. Models use familiar objects to represent unfamiliar things.
  • There are three different types of scientific models: ~Physical ~Mathematical/Computer ~Conceptual
  • An example of using Physical models is models of the solar system, a globe of the Earth, or a model of the human torso.
  • An example of using  Conceptual models is the classification system used to classify living things.
