  • An interesting fact about Mercury is it is not easily seen except during midnight.
  • We are traveling to Mercury. We are using a rocket, which is a device that expels gas in one direction to move the rocket in the other direction.
  • There is no satellite orbiting Mercury. A satellite is an object that revolves around another object in space.
  • The diameter of Mercury is 4879.4 km or 3023 miles. In outer space there are vacuums. These are places that is empty of all matter.
  • Mercury's temperature is -173 to 427°C. 
  • The distance from the sun is 29 million miles. Mercury has microgravity which is a feeling of weightlessness.
  • Thirteen times a century Mercury can be observed from the Earth passing across the face of the Sun in an event called a transit
  • Mercury probably should have remote sensing. Remote sensing is observation satellites that collect data.
  • The orbital period for Mercury is 87.97 days.
  • Your weight on Mercury would be 38% of your weight on Earth.
  • Mercury completes three rotations about its axis and up until 1965 it was thought that the same side of Mercury constantly faced the Sun.
  • Surprisingly, Mercury has no moons.
  • I would definitely go back to Mercury.
  • During our trip home, it took us a long time to get back to earth. We landed in the Pacific Ocean and we are swimming right now.
