You are invited! all Gods except Eris
Everyone was invited to the wedding of King Pelias and Thetis except the god of strife and discord, Eris.
Eris was very angry that she was not invited and came up with a plan for revenge.
Eris crashed the wedding and rolled a golden apple to three goddesses, Athena, the goddess of wisdom; Aphrodite the goddess of love; and Hera, queen of the gods. The apple read " To the fairest."
Of course the Goddesses fought over who the apple was meant for, so they asked Zeus (The King of the Gods and the God of the Sky, ) to decide who was the fairest.
Zeus was stuck in a pickle. If he chooses one of the Goddesses, two Goddess would be mad at him.
Zeus left a mortal, named Paris, to make the very hard decision instead of himself.
