Storyboard Text

  • George and Lennie are two men who are on their way to getting a new job, since they are on the run from their old town. They are two men who are complete opposites, George being the responsible one and Lennie acting like a child.
  • This will be a new chapter, its a step closer to achieving our dreams. Just make sure you let me talk tomorrow
  • I'll rememeber
  • When George and Lennie got the job everyone was skeptical about them, wondering why they worked together and wondering if George was taking Lennie's money. Especially Curly, the bosses son. He disliked Lennie the most due to the fact that he was tall and since Curly was short he had to act more tough and show his dominance.
  • Why aren't you talking? Eh, you got a problem big guy.
  • One of the many workers that questioned George and Lennie's friendship was Candy. He was an old man who's only companion was his dog. He didn't understand why they stuck together though he had the same relationship with his dog, they stuck together. Though later on another worker named Carlson shot Candy's dog. This proving that no one understood friendship or companionship
  • why do you guys work together?
  • I still dont understand it
  • We stick together like you do with your dog
  • A couple days after getting to know everyone better, George and Lennie told the guys there dream of one day owning a ranch, that they can enjoy what they grow and they dont have to work for someone else. That's when Carlson said that he had saved up some extra money and that he would like to help them with their dream.
  • I wan to help make your dream into a reality
  • we want to own our own ranch one day
  • When George went out working, Lennie went out and wandered into Crooks, the negro stable bucks room. Crooks got annoyed with Lennies intrusion since he is a guy who likes his privacy so he started to bother Lennie by saying that George may die. Though by doing this Lennie started to get upset which is when Crooks noticed his child like qualitys and he felt sorry for him.
  • What are you doing in here?
  • what if he doesn't come back?
  • George went out so i wanted to see the horses
  • After talking to Lennie for a while, Crooks began to like him and his company. Same went for Lennie, so he began to tell him about his and Georges dream. Which is when Crooks said that he would help fund there plan. On one condition, that he gets to live there with them. This is because crooks has nothing to lose, He is in constant pain from an injury, and is treated poorly at his job from being worked to hard and segregation. So this is his chance to change his life.
