  • John Fitzgerald Kennedy (JFK) was born on May 29 in Brookline, MA. from the parents Joseph P. (father) and Rose (mother) in 1917. he was one of 8 other brothers and sisters.   
  • His promise
  • John attended the lower campus of Riverdale Country School, a private school for boys, from 5th to 7th grade. Two years later, the family moved to suburban Bronxville, New York, where Kennedy was a member of Boy Scout Troop 2 and attended St. Joseph's Church. He attended Princeton for his university with is bachelors in arts. 
  • Bay of Pigs 
  • Kennedy was the 39th President of the united states, he was the youngest man to be elected, at the age of 43. narrowly beating Republican Vice President Richard Nixon. He was also the first Catholic to become president.The campaign was hard fought and bitter.
  • His Passing
  • Kennedy promised change. He promised to "get America moving again". During his presidency, he accomplished many things, one being the Nuclear test ban treaty with Great Britain  the Soviet Union, helping to ease Cold War tensions, which was one of his biggest accomplishments. 
  • "we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and success of liberty."
  • On April 17, 1961, a brigade of about 1,500 Cuban exiles landed at Bahia de Cochinos (Bay of Pigs) on the southern coast of Cuba. Their mission was to overthrow the government of Fidel Castro by inciting revolt among the Cuban people. Funded and supplied by the United States, this invasion ended in absolute failure with some of the exiles killed and many captured by Castro's army. 
  •  Kennedy was riding with his wife Jacqueline, Texas Governor John Connally, and Connally's wife Nellie when he was fatally shot by former U.S. Marine Lee Harvey Oswald firing in ambush from a nearby building. He was pronounced dead on the scene with a fatal wound to the head.
