Roderigo (left) and Iago (middle) tell Brabantio about Othello and Desdemona's relationship- •"Your daughter and the Moor are now making the beast with two backs"
Brabantio confronts Othello about marrying his daughter, Othello reacts calmly to abuse- "O thou foul thief where hast thou stowed my daughter?"
Desdemona defends Othello and claims she genuinely loves him, Brabantio feels he has been deceived- "I saw Othello's visage in his mind, And to his honours and his valiant parts did I my soul and fortunes consecrate"
Cassio's ship arrives in Cyprus, it is feared Othello has been caught in the storm but then he arrives too- "Give him defence against the elements for I have lost him on a dangerous sea"
Iago hatches his revenge plan for not being made lieutenant, he wants to ruin Cassio- "For that I do suspect the lusty Moor hath leaped into my seat...Till I am evened with him wife for wife"
Iago convinces Cassio to have a drink and get in to merry spirit, the group of men sing songs- "I have very poor and unhappy brains for drinking"
