Cassio fights Montano, Othello is woken and learns of the incident and subsequently takes Cassio's position away from him- "Reputation, reputation, reputation! O, I have lost my reputation!"
Desdemona agrees to help promote Cassio to Othello- "My lord shall never rest"/ Then Othello and Iago watch Cassio walk away from desdemona- "I cannot think it, that it would steal away do guilty like"
Emilia finds dropped handkerchief and Iago snatches it from her for his revenge plans- "What handkerchief... That which you so often bid me to steal"
Iago convinces Othello that he has seen Cassio with the handkerchief- "such a handkerchief... did I see today Cassio wipe his beard with"/ "speaks against her with the other proofs"
Desdemona worries about losing the handkerchief with Emilia, then Othello demands to see it- claims there is "magic in the web of it"/ Emilia questions Othello's apparent trusting nature, Desdemona says "I ne'er saw this before"
Iago tells Othello that Cassio has confessed to "lie with her, on her; what you will". Then Iago tells Othello to hide whilst he speaks to Cassio. (Cassio talks about Bianca but Othello believes he is talking of Desdemona). "I marry her? What, a customer? ".
