  • Project due 5/1 Group 1: Jordan, Kim, Emma Group 2: Jessica, Eric, Kayla Group 3: Ethan, Mia, Anna
  • Oh great.
  • Okay.
  • Project due 5/1 Group 1: Jordan, Kim, Emma Group 2: Jessica, Eric, Kayla Group 3: Ethan, Mia, Anna
  • Do you guys want to meet in the library after school to start working?
  • I guess.
  • After school...
  • Where are they?
  • At school, Emma's English teacher assigns the class a group project worth a significant grade. Emma sees who her group is and finds that she needs to work with the two people who consistently don't do any work.
  • The next day
  • I was wondering why you weren't able to come meet.
  • I understand we have different commitments and things going on, I just want to make sure we receive a good grade on this project. I felt a little unimportant and neglected yesterday.
  • Hey guys.
  • I'm sorry, Emma. I should've let you know that my mom had to work late, so I needed to be home after school to watch my little brother and sister.
  • Emma asks for the group to meet after school to commence working on their project, her offer met with little enthusiasm from Jordan and Kim.
  • It was bad on me for not letting you know, but I forgot I had a therapy session yesterday and my dad reminded me last minute.
  • That sounds good! I'll do the first part, and maybe Emma can do the second and Jordan the third. I'll work on it later today when I get the chance.
  • Later after school, Emma waits for Jordan and Kim at the library until it closes. Jordan and Kim fail to give Emma warning that they will not be there.
  • Yeah that'd be great! Thank you for understanding. I promise I'll do my part as soon as possible.
  • That's totally fine! Maybe we can divide the work and each do a part of it when we have the chance to.
  • The next day, Emma notices Jordan and Kim are talking at their lockers and approaches them to ask why they didn't show up.
  • Emma listens as Jordan and Kim express their sides of their story and their thoughts regarding what happened.
  • Emma understands where Jordan and Kim are coming from, then suggests they split up the project and each complete a part of it, to which Jordan and Kim agree to do.
