Storyboard Text

  • Hi! I'm Zimri Robinson.
  • Hi! I'm Orpheus Chanson.
  • Chanson Industries
  • My name is Harold Chanson.
  • Zimri Robinson is a plebe in society, which is the lower caste compared to Plutes. She is one of the protagonists in the story because she, along with Orpheus, try to make a change in society. Zimri loves to sing, but singing is illegal. After meeting Orpheus, that soon changes, and together they break the barriers between Plebes and Plutes.
  • Plebes
  • Plutes
  • Orpheus Chanson is a Plute in society, and son of Harold Chanson, who owns an industry where you can buy brain surgeries for your mind to make you an instant genius. He is one of the protagonists in the story because after meeting Zimri, he soon realizes that the divide between Plutes and Plebes should be destroyed, and that he should stand up to his father.
  • It isn't right to control everyone's minds and treat Plebes lesser than us!
  • I'm just trying to look out for our family, Orpheus!
  • Harold Chanson is the antagonist of the story. He is a Plute who owns Chanson Industry. Ever since he created the system that prohibits music to be bought, and allowed his industry to be profited, he managed to change the shape of society. His invention of brain surgery for kids to become geniuses in a certain area allowed him to essentially own the kids' minds and monopolize the whole community.
  • I hope we win...
  • My name is Calliope Bontempi. This man is a fraud!
  • One of the conflict in the novel centers around two caste systems: Plutes and Plebes. The Plutes are more elite, and receive brain surgeries to become powerful and more rich. All the while the Plebes are castaways, working menial jobs in order to scrape by enough money to simply survive. These two caste systems have always been separated, until Orpheus met Zimri.
  • The second conflict in the novel centers around Zimri and Orpheus against Harold Chanson of Chanson Industries. Orpheus and Zimri want to put an end to Chanson's uncouth monetization of music, and allow music to be heard by whoever has the passion to create it once again. They also wanted to break the barrier that separates Plutes and Plebes.
  • My prediction for the novel is that Zimri and Orpheus will join a woman named Calliope Bontempi. Bontempi is a woman who is filing a lawsuit against Chanson Industries because her brain surgery had gone wrong, and she lost her passion to sing. I believe that Orpheus and Zimri will help Calliope win this case against Harold Chanson.
