Grandpa, can you please explain how Rutherford's Atomic Model works?
Of course darling, of course.
Rutherford is known for his work with the gold foil experiment and he discovered that atom had a dense nucleus.
He just wanted to test the plum pudding model, which it belongs to J.J Thomson(his teacher).
As I said, he is best known for his gold foil experiment. In his gold foil experiment: he found out that when you shoot a beam of alpha particles at a sheet of gold foil, a few of the alpha particles deflect. He concluded that the reason of the deflections was because of a tiny, dense nucleus.
Wow! Thanks a lot Grandpa! Now, I have learned a lot of things about Ernest Rutherford!
