Since students will be limited in movement, I will be rotating throughout the classroom working with students while they work. Each table group will be a "station". I will most likely focus more of my time at the text collaboration and connections stations to make sure that students are hitting the objectives for the day and connecting to the essential question for the unit. Students will rotate activities with a timer that will be displayed on the board. It will be important to change seating charts often so that students are able to have different groups. Stations will start after a daily warm up and minilesson for the focus for the day.We will come back together as a whole group before the end of class to make connections from the text for the day.
Text analysis - online, in workbook, or printed copy (annotations expected)
Grammar station - online with No Red Ink or in journal (grammar of the week)
Text collaboration - students confer with each other based off annotations and focus for the day from minilesson or essential question, could also use online shared document or in Canvas discussions
Text connections - students confer and connect texts to other texts, videos, podcasts, etc from the unit and decide how it helps them answer the essential question, could also use online shared document or in Canvas discussions
