- Emilio lived in the most remote part of the Tlatelolco neighborhood. He was a low-income boy but with an ambitious mind.

- For example his plan was to marry Laura, the future owner of the “Los cabritos” ranch, and then take over everything, get divorced and also leave the family with nothing. However, things don't always go as planned. As it happens in most cases.

- As soon as Emilio met Barbara, Laura's sister, he was completely fascinated. He didn’t hesitate to start an affair with Barbara, promising that at any moment he would leave Laura to escape with her and be happy, but of course without forgetting his evil plan, because in the end it is better to be rich and powerful than clumsy in love.

- It was a winter day, perfect to ask for the hand of the woman you love. Or not. Emilio was determined to get married as soon as possible. Therefore, he prepared everything to make the proposal in that lake on the farm, bought flowers and prepared the ring that his mother, Doña Sofía, inherited from him; what people do for proxy, it almost seemed as if he loved her.

- To the regret of Barbara, who was walking by the lake just at that moment, she saw her hopes of running away from her with Emilio vanish, since she never imagined that he would propose to her.

- When Emilio and Laura left the place, Barbara was devastated entering a strong collapse, she had to clear her mind anyway but she happened the unexpected; partly because of her worn sneaker and her false morals; Barbara slipped with a fish that to her great luck came out of the waters, falling to the depths of the lake, this being a starry night that would lead her to her eternal rest but not of this life.
